Our Story

Growing up in a family retail business in Ghana, my siblings and I learned a lot about customer service skills, inventory management, sales and entrepreneurship. Retail has always been my favorite part of our business because I got to meet end users of individual products and hear their feedback. We had many loyal customers from various parts of the country.

One day, I asked one of my regular shoppers, “ So which skin products do you use on your beautiful skin? You never buy skin products from us”. She answered, “We don’t use any of these skin products. We go natural”.

“yɛhyɛ asase wɔ yɛn honam ani” (meaning, we wear the earth on our skin)”.

This customer was a cocoa farmer from Brong Ahafo where the women in the community only use 100% organic raw cocoa butter on their skin. She advised “we feel connected to the earth; and beauty is about being natural.”

This is very impressive, I thought. It is true that our earth is the most natural thing and so is the most beautiful. I became interested in getting to know more about these areas in Africa. I traveled there to learn more about raw organic cocoa butter.
